Funeral Hospitality

This hospitality group was formed in October 2006. We provide refreshments in the Parish Centre for the bereaved families and friends following the reception ceremony on the evening before the funeral Mass of their deceased loved one. There are currently 41 members in this group, and we try to lift the spirits of those who mourn, offering care and comfort to bereaved families in the form of providing coffee and cake in a comforting, friendly environment.

The Funeral Hospitality Ministry only has one annual meeting. If you have some time to help us with this very worthwhile ministry - whether you can spare only 20 minutes or if you have all day, there is a welcome place for you. You might be asked to cook, bake or to bring purchased 'extras'. We can always use help setting up, serving, and cleaning up. You choose how you wish to serve—cooking, serving, or both.
