Pastoral Care of the Sick

“Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord.”

-From the Letter of St.James Ch5 V14

The Pastoral Care of the Sick is an important aspect of the Church’s Ministry and is an important part of the life of our parish community. Sickness can leave individuals feeling vulnerable or isolated.  The Ministry of Jesus himself focused a great deal on those who were sick, many of whom experienced healing from his hands. If you or a family member are housebound due to illness or advanced age and would like to receive Holy Communion do please let us know.
Our Parish Sister, Sr.Geraldine, coordinates the ministry to the sick and housebound.

The priests of the parish visit the sick each First Friday and are available for confession, Holy Communion and where necessary the Sacrament of the Sick.  In the intervening weeks Sr. Geraldine calls.

If you would like to be included in our ministry to the sick do please fill in the request form below.
