Once again, Lucan is gearing up for another St. Patrick's Day Parade, and welcomes Sorcha Furlong as our 2023 Parade Marshall. Sorcha will be known to many as Orla Molloy of RTE's Fair City.

The Lucan Parade is a free day out for families, and is run by a group of a non-profit, volunteer lead, organization, funded by a Community Grant from South Dublin County Council, donations from Lucan Traders, and various fundraising events held during the year.

Assembly & Starting Times
The Parade will assemble and commence at the large green located at Green Park Road / Westbrook Park / Hillcrest Close in Hillcrest (adjacent to Tesco) from 2pm, be in place by 2:30pm.

The Parade commences at 3pm sharp and proceeds down Dodsboro Road, under the N4 bridge onto the Leixlip Road, past McDonalds, onwards towards The Ball Alley Pub, and into Lucan Village, turning left at Courtneys, past the review stand located outside the Muintir na Tire hall, and disperses up through the village past the Italian Embassy. The parade takes two hours approximately to complete the route.

Dodsboro Road / Tandys Lane
Old Celbridge Road
Lucan Road from the Village to St Mary's Church
Adamstown Road from Courtneys to N4
No through road through the village
Chapel Hill Open for north bound traffic crossing the Liffey Bridge

The Lucan St. Patrick's Day Parade is grateful to South Dublin County Council who provide a grant for the parade and the Parks Department who help us with barriers and clean up after the parade and to the Lucan Traders who sponsor the parade.
