Congratulations to all the students who have just received their Leaving Cert results.
According to the school reports in this issue, there are some very high achievers here in Lucan. Well done to them!
It’s amazing to look at the list of careers they aspire to – there are jobs out there these days that just didn’t exist ten years ago, such is the progress in technology etc.
If you are not one of those high achievers, don’t worry! Us elder lemons can speak from experience, and say that no matter what the result, there is a place for everyone in this world. We’re all brilliant at something!

A few things to remember:
1. The past cannot be changed
2. Opinions don’t define your reality
3. Everyone’s journey is different
4. Things always get better with time
5. Judgements are a confession of character
6. Overthinking will lead to sadness
7. Happiness is found within
8. Positive thoughts create positive things
9. Smiles are contagious
10. Kindness is free
11. You only fail if you quit
12. What goes around comes around

Musical Director, Adam Hodgkinson had the young people in top form with the most beautiful of harmonies. They were a joy to listen to, and can be heard at the 9am Sunday Mass in St. Patrick’s.
